I moved to the Methow in 1983 to spend the winter skiing. I had graduated the previous year from the University of Washington with a degree in Land Use Planning. After a brief position at the Okanogan County Planning Department developed into a State Grant, I extended my winter sojourn into the summer and fall. I fell in love with the Methow Valley’s mountain lifestyle and its community and never left. The following year a friend and I created Methow Valley Central Reservations. We began managing cabin rentals and affiliated with Winthrop Realty in 1985. The exposure to Valley visitors led me to real estate sales. Real estate for me is the perfect combination of exploring in the outdoors and my education and work experience in land use planning. I have been in real estate sales ever since and enjoy it a great deal. After building a home in Mazama and living there for 14 years, my husband, Peter, and I traded in our alpine abode for a farmhouse with acreage on Lower Bear Creek south of Winthrop. I feel very fortunate to make this beautiful valley our home. We have two grown daughters, 19 and 22 years old. As a family we have enjoyed the many alpine and year round recreational activities the Methow Valley has to offer. I enjoy exploring our Valley trails and mountains on foot, by alpine and nordic skis and on bicycles. I also love spending time in my garden. I've recently converted to back country skiing with a passion. Buying and selling property takes time, effort and care. I know—because I’ve been helping people with all aspects of real estate investment since 1985.
